Toilet

You may remember that last year we were successful in obtainingfunding from the Environment Agency towards the installation of atoilet. Thanks to Bob, the toilet installation and the modificationsto the clubhouse are now complete.There is a new door at the opposite end of the clubhouse to the maindoors. Inside the toilet is on the left. To the right is a storagearea.As we have no mains water or drainage, the toilet is a compostingtoilet. Please see (more…)

2024 December Stocking

We received 22 mirrors and 1 common from VS Fisheries, a combination of C4s and C5s, the largest being an 18lb common, average weight just over 12lb. Photos were taken of each fish and are shown below. Year class and weights are in the file names (hover over image). (more…)

Angling Trust / Otter fencing

As you will know we have received two separate rounds of funding from the scheme administered by the Angling Trust. Most members will be aware the Angling Trust were at The Elms earlier in the year to carry out some filming to help promote their funding of Otter fencing schemes. 2022 renewal

Dear member, Just to let you know that the membership renewal form and working party dates are now on the website. Working parties are arranged in February and March. Mick Fleming

Mick Fleming, a true gentleman and a club member for many years, sadly died on the 19th December while fishing in the River Colne. His funeral is on Monday 24th January 2022 2pm @ Garston crematorium north Chapel, flowers and donations welcome to the British Heart Foundation  Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time. Nets and unhooking mats

With the reported number of disease outbreaks that have been reported we just want to remind members that it is important to take additional care if they are fishing other waters. Not only is there a risk of spreading disease but nets and mats can be a way of spreading invasive non native species (INNS) from one water to another. Quick update 4/5/20

While the lake remains closed we just wanted to circulate a quick email to give you a couple of updates. As soon as the situation changes we will let everyone know. 1. Angling Trust appeal The Angling Trust are asking anglers to write to their MPs to support the case for angling safely resuming within government guidelines should amendments be made to those guidelines at the next review date (7 May) or later. Clubhouse / General Rubbish

The clubhouse is left open for everyone to use. Unfortunately over the last year it seems to have become a bit of a dumping ground. Members are asked not to leave anything in the clubhouse – no trollies, no fishing tackle, and please no broken tools or unwanted household items!
