2022 Lure Anglers – results

Mick Fleming

Mick Fleming, a true gentleman and a club member for many years, sadly died on the 19th December while fishing in the River Colne. His funeral is on Monday 24th January 2022 2pm @ Garston crematorium north Chapel, flowers and donations welcome to the British Heart Foundation  Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time. Spawning Temporary Closure

Thanks to everyone that has provided updates over the last couple of days, with the warm weather the fish have started spawning.At times like this it is best to leave them to it so we are closing the lake to fishing for a week from today 3rd June. Any bookings will be cancelled. The lake will remain open if you want to walk around, but no fishing until next Thursday (10th June)Hopefully by then things (more…)

Spring update

To give you a general update, as a few people have asked about some of the work that has already been completed: Fishery Management In 2020 Bob attended the Fishery Management Course being run jointly by Herts & Middlesex Wildlife Trust and the Colne Valley Fisheries Consultative, funded by the Lottery Heritage Fund. Important Update – March 2020

Given the further measures announced early this week, the working party on Sunday is postponed. We will reschedule when the situation is clearer. Tickets will be issued on the basis that we will catch up with working parties when we can. With the restrictions on non-essential travel, and the requirements for people to remain at home, going fishing is not an option for any of us at the moment.
