June 2015 Newsletter

Dear member, If you haven’t been down the the lake recently it has been fishing well with some good catches of carp and plenty of tench reported. December 2014 – Bream Stocking

We are pleased to confirm that the lake has received a stocking of Bream to 6lb, approx 75 fish ranging from 3.5lb to 6lb, with the majority weighing between 4lb and 5lb were introduced. Hopefully this will come as good news to the general members and match anglers. Please remember to provide feedback on any catches. (more…)

2014 Review CVFC

If ever there was a year for angling clubs in the Colne Valley to work together the weather during 2014 certainly threw down the gauntlet to everyone involved in running fisheries. Cries for help were common place and neighbouring angling clubs responded with equipment and manpower to help each other out when the need arose. November 2014 Update

Please see below for general updates and important information on working parties. The lake has been fishing well. There have been some good results, both day and night, and we are still hearing about some good catches of silver fish from the lake which is great to hear. As was discussed at the AGM we are moving ahead with a stocking of quality bream, we are expecting confirmation of delivery shortly and we will update (more…)

We hope you have had enjoyed the summer. There have been some recent reports of good catches of roach and perch which is great to hear. Here are a few quick updates to make you aware of: Siltexing of the lake Thursday 9th October, the lake will receive a treatment of siltex as part of the ongoing water management program.
